This year I had the privilege of giving a presentation on personal privacy at a Queen City Security meetup and at three different regional conferences – BSides Charlotte, CarolinaCon, and CackalackyCon. As a social engineer, I rely on Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering to create effective social engineering campaigns. What many don’t realize is just how much information about them or their business is available online. The problem is, this information can be used by bad actors as well. This talk shows real life examples of what is out there, why it’s up to us to protect our information, and how exactly we can do this. The link here is the version presented at CarolinaCon 2023.
